The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a tax exempt 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international non-profit organization dedicated to serving the poor and providing others with the opportunity to serve.  The 6 x 6 inch tiles have been designed by local school children and contain the honoree's name. The Night Drop-In Center facility is open daily from 7:00 pm – 7:00 am as a “safe haven” for all who come to spend the night. The two Mobile Soup Bus Kitchens are renovated school buses with small  kitchenettes and running water that go out into neighborhoods to feed the hungry! Everyone is required to wear a mask at all times, Social distancing is enforced with seating and table separation, Extensive sanitizing of the facilities is a daily, ongoing operation. St. Vincent de Paul's new operation will add to its Northern Kentucky presence. Both Soup Buses have 6 tables each and the capacity to seat 24 people at a time. The spread of COVID-19 is impacting the community as many people are without work and paychecks. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of Austin will continue to open its food pantry at the Vincentian Family Center on Saturdays from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Your donations enable the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to continue its ministry of providing food, clothing, shelter, and many other services to the poor in our region. This ministry feeds an average of 80 people per night and serves more than 17,000 hot meals each year. Tiles can be purchased at the SVDP store service desk for a donation of $100. There are six St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores located throughout Southwest Idaho to help you stretch your dollar. For over 50 years, our Thrift Store has furnished low cost clothing, household goods, and other merchandise to the poor. We offer understanding, hope and immediate relief to those in need without regard to religion, race or nationality. The bus is staffed with crews made up of volunteers who prepare and bring the meals on the Bus four nights a week!
